The topic came up Saturday with the GoKart class, but I also think it to be a more general need.
The GoKart class is producing (hopefully) an OpenSource CAD/CAM design for producing an electric go cart with tooling available to most makerspaces. Other’s in the space are also producing some very interesting projects. But virtually none of these exciting happenings are getting out into the ‘ether’ as it were.
If you peruse Make magazine you would think that virtually all of the interesting things being done are in the Techlabs or the Fab labs of the country, while we are the largest and presumably the most active maker space in the country.
It would be nice if we have some members with a strong set of communication skills who could be called upon to create articles and related blog posts to let the world know what great stuff that is getting produced here. Of course the actual creators need to produce the basic content, but rarely can most people produce clean, easily readable articles.
