The DMS IT volunteer team is pleased to announce the general availability of our new Member Profile System. The first use of this system will be to handle ‘Green Dot’ membership enrollment and removal in the Talk system. You can also use this to look up information on your group membership and voting status. The next planned addition to this system will be to automate the handling of voting rights at DMS.
To use this system you must be an active member and use your login at https://members.dallasmakerspace.org to manage your DMS membership linkage with your Talk ID.
On September 20th we’ll begin daily updates to remove inactive members from Green Dot status and privileges on Talk. This will improve our handling of actual membership status over the 100% manual process we have now.
Why are we doing this? Primarily to either automate or enable a self-serve approach to as many of these kinds of routine tasks as possible
