Glaze unloaded

Do you know if there was anything different with the kiln run, did it have a hold or was that our standard glaze firing schedule?

I think the last couple of glaze kiln runs have been in the old kiln and this one was in the new kiln.

Steve, it was a bit different, we ran a slow mode. We have run a few bisques and glazes in the new kiln but typically on a normal run time vs a slow run time.

We were trying to see if running the slow mode would fix the pinholing problem some people were noticing.

Has the slow setting helped stop the pitting?.

We did not see any pitting on the glazed items that came out of Gatsby yesterday.

So excited to see a close up of those thin neck vases! I was oodling over them this weekend wondering how they’d turn out for the person. They look amazing!

Roughly how often does bisque firing run?

Roughly every 2 to 3 days if we have enough to fire. We will rotate glaze and bisque based on greatest need. Hope that helps

Thanks! I saw some of the other pieces from our class and I figured the kiln was full … so I just wondered when the next batch would be.
