Math, Manipulatives, and makerspace

Next week is the M^3 PD. The theme will be purposeful iterations. Research in cognitive-neuroscience shows that humans leverage their spatial sense of magnitude using the intraparietal sulcus. We also know that actions and feedback students and teachers need to understand new knowledge is limited by cognitive load or working memory. Come and see how theory and classroom use become the design parameters for improving math manipulatives.
