1:00 – 1:15 PM: Free Talk with Prompt
Prompt: “Exploring Practical Applications of Raspberry Pi and Arduino in Everyday Projects.”
- Open discussion on creative ways to integrate microcontrollers into real-world solutions.
- Potential applications in home automation, data logging, and interactive electronics.
- Members share insights, challenges, and past experiences with Raspberry Pi Pico, Zero, and Arduino.
1:15 – 2:00 PM: Group Activity – “Microcontroller Mini-Projects”
Objective:
Break into small teams (3-4 people) to build and test a simple embedded system project. Depending on attendance each group will work on one of the following projects:
- Temperature & Humidity Logger Skills Built: Raspberry Pi Pico, electronics, MicroPython, I2C communication, data logging, sensor integration.
- Capacitive Touch Soundbox
Skills Built: Arduino Nano, capacitive touch sensors, C++ programming, sound generation, event-driven input. - Light-Sensing Night Light Skills Built: Raspberry Pi Zero, analog sensor reading, basic automation, circuit logic, power efficiency.
2:00 – 2:30 PM: Open Office Hours & Collaboration
- Members bring questions, seek troubleshooting help, or discuss ongoing projects.
- Facilitators and experienced members provide guidance on coding, hardware setup, and project development.
- Opportunity to form smaller working groups for ongoing collaboration.
