For the life of me, I cannot find a decent mandrel for use on the drill press in the woodshop. The few floating around in the file cabinet have long been fused to the hole saws they were used with, and I’ve scoured the shop, annex, and the surrounding workshop area. Anyone know where/if these are kept somewhere onsite, or are they considered a consumable?
The mandrels for hole saws? As far as I know they were never a provided by the woodshop.
The ones you see in the drill press drawers were left by members. Which is why there isn’t a complet set… they are all one off sizes…
Holes saw burn up really quick and can’t be easily sharpened… they are made like disposable razors only so many uses before you have to buy a replacement…
That’s more then likely something you will have to buy for your project,

I figured as much, but the number of hole saw set ups that did/do exist in the cabinet led me to question whether or not a designated collection of them existed elsewhere. Anyway, thank you for confirming that for me! Much appreciated .
