I notice that some member posts are tagged ‘Makerspace member’ and others are not (such as mine). However, I am a Makerspace member and am not sure how to obtain that tag.
Click on your profile icon on the top right, then click Preferences. There’s a pencil edit icon next to “Title” and select Makerspace Member.
When I look at my ‘preferences’, I do not see a section labeled ‘Title’. There is a section labeled ‘User Card Badge’ with an edit icon; however, it opens a drop down with the only option of ‘None’
My preference page looks like this, not sure if it’s a limitation of your account or not. @AndrewLeCody might be able to answer this.
It might be because of your badges, you are listed as a Poster, I’m listed as an Organizer, based on activity in Talk forum, I’m not sure if that makes a difference to Title.
It looks like you don’t (yet) have the Makerspace Member badge. I manually pushed the database, so it should grant you the badge in a day or two. Then you can set your title.
I dont have it either…
Yep, same here, never had a “member” badge and there’s no “Title” option on my preferences either. Maybe it only shows up for frequent users who have spent a certain number of hours using the forum’s web interface?
See Andrew’s previous replies. It’s supposed to be automagically synced from the billing system, but sometimes the magic leaks out of the servers and it has to be done by hand.
You have to have signed up with Talk with the same email address as you have in the billing system.
Batches!.. We don’t need no stinking batches!..
I’m in the same boat as several of the other posters on this thread. I don’t have the option to pick a title. Is this something that can get fixed soon?
