They hinted a while back that this year might be the last ever Maker Faire Bay Area. This is sad to hear because they’ve been an important voice in the maker community.
OMG that’s so sad! Makerfaire, like you said, are so important to our world communities.
I hope something replaces it so that it doesnt totally die.
I’ve subscribed to MAKE Magazine since Issue #1. I’ll be sorry to see its passing. Hopefully they’ll find a path forward.
I bought the first four issues at the bookstore, have subscribed ever since. And I just renewed my sub like two weeks ago.
They mention doing everything they can to keep the printed and online content available.
They were also musing transitioning over to a non-profit status. The Bay Area is no place to have a business of you’re not able to be highly proftable
