Hello,
I’m wanted to make some basic L shaped metal shelf brackets out of 1/4" x 1 1/2 " steel bar. What would be a good way to accomplish this?
Thanks!

definitely figure out where you want the screw holes to be ahead of time on the metal piece, drill them out in the machine shop before you bend the metal. Then use the induction forge to heat up just the area that you want to bend, put it into the vise, and then use it a long wrench for extra leverage to make a crisp bend. Although, you probably don’t even need to heat it up. You could likely just bend it cold. Unless it’s super thick metal
Thank you so much!!
If it’s 1/4 thick you will need to heat it in the forge to bend it. Metal shop doesn’t have an enormous hydraulic brake. Auto shop has the hydraulic press but it’s finnicky
