It looks like a Make:Community membership is available for Makerspaces at $250 per year. This grants access to the digital magazine subscription, and supports a pretty great organization.
Does DMS already have a Make:Community membership? If not, what’s the best way to propose we investigate purchasing one?
They went bankrupt - subscribers like myself just had it end. What I liked about the old format, is you could download the issues onto your computer, not sure you can do that now. I did like their tool reviews especially things like3D printers, water jets, laser, CNC routers etc.
I personally like Instructables at $25/yr. allows you to download files and everything is ad-free if you subscribe. But projects are still readable without a subscription, Of course a lot of content on YouTube etc.
I had just re-subscribed when they went bankrupt, but I’m receiving issues again. I had subscribed for 2 years, which they say I’ll still get, but they went to 4 issues a year instead of 6, so I’ll get two less than I was thinking I would get. If that makes sense - it’s early and I’m only on my first cup of coffee…
You might send their customer service an email, they’ve been pretty helpful when I’ve had issues like them sending my magazine to the wrong address.
