The machine shop committee is having a work day on Sunday (afternoon) to hang cable trays for the up coming move of the machine shop to the new suite. You are welcome to help out with this.
I last gave a couple of classes for lathe in early/mid September. I am going to schedule Bridgeport mill classes for the middle of this month and don’t expect to give classes for the lathe again until November some time.
If you have extensive lathe experience, I can check out your knowledge fairly quickly on a individual basis and add your name to the authorized users list if the checkout is good, but if lathe is rather new to you, then you need the class (actually two classes, a self study part I of about 3 hours and a machine side instruction, part II of about 3 hours). Do you have a project that is requiring the lathe?
