So I figured I would create a notification thread for the Drill Press.
We are waiting on pricing of the replacement pulley. We did hear from one place & they priced it at about 1,300$ & it was not in stock.
We may repair the pulley Via brazing & remachining it.
I damn near spit my drink out when I read that.
That out of production lathe Gear Shifting Lever that Tim built they wanted $700 for.
Here is a reference on what the prices are for a like replacement drill press.
I’m happy to help with that. Get whatever braze rods you think are best for TIG in 3/32 and next time I’m up there show me where you want the bead.
Might be cheaper to buy a parts unit…
Our parts should be in for the Drill press on Wednesday. I hope to have it fully repaired that day.
