Scheduled for this date. If more people want it moved a day or two later let me know ASAP and I’ll try to change it. But I want at least one meeting before Festivus/Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Winter Solstice/New Year’s or whatever else you may part take in arrives. Let’s end the year with somewhat of a clear idea of what we are about. Here’s what I listed, should be on calendar in 48 hours, please RSVP if you think you might be able to make it.

About this Event
We are beginning the reorganization of Machine Shop. Want input, even some votes on what to keep and what to purge. Layout work flow floor plan.

Bring suggestions for classes - especially ones you’d be willing to teach. They don’t have to be about how to operate a machine, it can be all the things associated with machining: metal/plastic selection, or any aspect of knowledge that can be applied to becoming a better machinist for your projects. I plan on teaching about using various measurement tools correctly, different ways to measure.

Would like to get a group together that will look at tools/tooling we need for machining plastics. Call it a Plastics team.

Ideas on gantry for Bridgeport for handling heavy tools plus whatever YOU want Machine Shop to be working for and towards.

I plan to attend. I’d prefer to not move it to Friday because that evening is the Metal Pen Turning class.

Teaching a CNC plasma class that night, so not able to attend.

We see each other often. So let me or someone know or send an email and I’ll make sure it read/heard. Any day is always going to be a problem for someone. Plus classrooms are taken up on other days. I’ll be around afterwards.

The class is important. Have a good one. I’ll be around so we can review afterwards.

@walter and others, would 1st work better. Makes no difference to me except just shorter notice. Sooner is better and if less conflicts can change right now.

I will plan on attending, which ever day. As long as it’s not the 5th, plasmacam class that night. On a side note, while I was looking at the cold saw last night, I could not find the guard for it. Does anyone know where it’s is? Worst case we will have to buy/make one which shouldn’t be hard.

I machine and laser plastics all day long. I see if I can make both classes.
