Machine Shop Bandsaw is down (and other words to satisfy talk)

So there has been slow & steady progress on the bansaw. @procterc re-wired the whole thing as it was NOT properly grounded. We checked rotation on the Motor on Saturday afternoon. So now it is a matter of changing the belts & putting the upper pulley on.

Yay Charles!

are you sure you are on the right page??

Iā€™m merely cheering on the efforts to get the bandsaw back online.

Forward progress, I got the variable speed belt on today. @trurobertson @BobKarnaugh got the motor belts on last week. Of course @procterc got a lot of the stuff done too. The belts do still need some alignment before we place into service.

On the plus side of this taking so long, Machine Shop has saved 300$ a month in bandsaw blades.

So the washers/spacers are missing for the locking of the throat plate. Once we have those we can place the bandsaw back into full service.

Sorry guys I forgot to report back that we have ordered a replacement variable speed pulley. The old one had been welded and was the source of the extra vibration and subsequent breakage of the belt.

Still no joy??

Plenty, I saw it in use today.
