Read this today in WSJ (yesterdays edition). There is one big caveat, it only played one on one, it played multiple people at a time but one on one. It is a very different game when there are 8-10 players per hand. I think the AI would be much more challenged to make inferences into the play where position effects how hands are played: fold, call, or raise. AI has big advantage is it can play on a strictly mathematical basis and probably win a lot of hands.
True, but it is a good start. Mush of Poker revolves around bluffing. When AI gets a handle on reading facial expressions and body language, it may be hard to beat.
