I have a gold ring with a loose diamond in the setting (prongs). It’s got a lot of simental value and I am interested in learning to fix it but am not sure if it is as simple as it sounds. For fine jewelers out there what would you charge to teach me to repair it…or if I shouldn’t, who is trustworthy in the DFW area? My usual guy retired
I gotta see it before I can tell you how difficult and how much I would charge, but if you’re at the meeting on Wednesday I can take a look at it then.
I’m going to try. If I get stuck at work I’ll pm a pic. It was just retipped/deep cleaned during appraisal so idk why they didn’t handle it then.
