Looks like the alum rod is in

sitting in the machine shop. I’ll be busy with the committee and members meetings tonight. So if no one else gets to it, I’ll swap to the new blade on the bandsaw and get it cut tomorrow (Friday). We best order more blades. cheers!

I’ll help cut it up tonight. It got here really fast.

Sorry I had intended to make a post that I had brought it in from the carrier. We got sidetracked trying to get out of Dallas with the racecar. Glad you found it, although it was difficult to miss.

I cut 2 full rods to 5" pieces so there is enough there for multiple classes.

I swapped blades to the 5/8" one. Looks like it is much better at cross cutting. The original 1/2" blade was put back on when done and the 5/8" is in the teacher’s cabinet. We should get a couple more blades.

You want 5/8ths (.625") blades? How many teeth? I could get one with 6-8 TPI aluminum blade which what we cut for classes. Then use the general use blade for regular use.

no I was just commenting that the 5/8" works good for us cross cutting stock for classes.I think we still need the 1/2" size for being able to cut curves.
