My Brother-in-Law has a number of old motorola MT1000 radios that have been retired from the Park Service as they do not reliably transmit (all receive OK). He thinks that the antenna mounts inside the radio bodies make be broken inside the body of the radios.
Looking for advice:
- are they worth fixing?
- Where would you recommend for service?
- If the answer to #2 is the DMS, would someone be willing to help me diagnose/repair?
There are 10 radios with problems: he has 11 total.
