I’m looking to take the next VCarve class. Does anyone know when the next one will be?
It will be sometime in December but we haven’t decided when. Holiday schedules and work schedules are still a little up in the air right now. Sorry, we will post it as soon as we can get it finalized.
when was the first one?
I believe he just means the CNC router class.
Either and/or both.
Miscellaneous message filler.
Hey Terrence,
I can give you some hands on training on Vcarve after thanksgiving. Say Tuesday at 6:00 PM December 1st. I’m guessing you just need some time in the program and someone to ask a few question of while doing so.
That would be great! My end goal is to start producing projects on the CNC router.
I wouldn’t mind attending myself, good to see how people are using the software.
ok, we can meet in the room with the tables at 6.
That requires you to take the CNC Router class, which Alex mentioned above:[quote=“AlexRhodes, post:2, topic:6501, full:true”]

Currently, there is no separate VCarve class. It is a combined VCarve and CNC router course. You won’t have access to VCarve for @Nick’s tutorial unless you’ve taken it.
edited for wrong words
Once I took the CNC class and received VCarve access I found the online tutorials were very useful.
To be clear,
I have full access to V carve and can show you how it works as well as answer some questions on using the software. I can not grant unsupervised access to the router table or V carve. However, if you don’t have access to V carve we can sign in with my account and I can show you the process of working with the software.
You are not required to take the router class to have access to the router table or V carve. You are required to take the router class to have Unsupervised Access to the router table and V carve. I would also point out that the class only allows you unsupervised access for routing WOOD.
I was able to run jobs on the CNC router and use V Carve before taking the class thanks to the supervision of @RossD. I’ve also done supervised work with @Kentamanos, but that was for cutting a plastic sub-strait. This was all thanks to the generosity of these two members time and not a required job of them. So please don’t demand this of other members, instead be up front about your knowledge and be willing to ask.
