My next phone will be an old fashioned telephone (flip or brick type) and a separate tablet. I use an iPad mini with an LTE connection that I like very much, but if you only use an internet connection something like a Kindle Fire would work and cost much less.
A tablet would really allow you to see larger text, too. I think my advice to you is to consider splitting the two functions. Maybe you don’t need a new phone and a medium-sized tablet would be a good addition.
If you go the kindle way, I would get the larger memory kindle. My kids were having all sorts of issues with there 8gb kindles even with a 32gb sd card.
That’s good information to know. I still want to play with the potential of using a Kindle Fire for a classroom in Guatemala. Will put that detail on my mental list.
My only reason for preferring Tracfone is because that iw what I have
and I have min I can transfer, but those could go to my hubby, In fact
he could just take my phone, He has one but keeps delaying
getting it activated, He doesn t really like cell phones,
I need a phone that I can see the names of folks I want to call
Right now, I know the 3 letter one is Sue and the 4 letter is Beth
but I have too many friends with 5 letter names!
I am not a huge phone used, but I think being able to find out directions
would be nice, I loved that my Town &Country minivan (RIP-silver) had
that function, My huggy gets confused in directions when driving and
I cant wsee to help as much as I wish, We may just have to get him a GPS
My fiancee has vision issues and uses an iPhone. I know it’s not one of the ones you listed and they are certainly pricey, but it does have quick accessibility options. She uses the increased font and inverted colors frequently
I have a Motorola droid and looked, it has accessibility options as well such as gesture magnification. It also has a form of color inversion, and high contrast text.
I don’t know much about TracFone, I work for Verzion so I mostly just know our products, and not so much since I don’t work in sales or customer service. I would wager most of those android phones have some sort of accessibility options, some may be better, but it would be worth taking a look at how those features respond on the individual phones.
