For a small art project I’m doing I need something Round-ish, hollow, and made of metal, about 2-3" inches in size. Preferably cheap. Anyone have anything they are looking to get rid of that fits that description?
You can do two daps in jewelry then solder together to make what you are talking about pretty simply. There’s also some fab metallic glazes

I did a short search online for metal Easter eggs, as I know you can find painted and decorated ones from time to time. The only ones I found were already decorated. I think one time I was trying to make something and used a rounded top of a chainlink fence pole from the hardware store.
Given your blacksmithing experience you could either buy from them (abt $5 each) or you could buy one and figure out how they made it and make your own.
