Looking for a good Lenovo Thinkpad Repair person/shop

Does anyone know of a good computer repair shop or person familiar with Lenovo Thinkpads? If you do know of some one I would really appreciate a recommendation as I have 2 Thinkpads that just broke.

Define “broke”
I’m not a Lenovo certified tech, but ThinkPads were built to be easily repaired.

ThinkPad W530:

So it looks like a GPU problem.

ThinkPad T510:
Will not turn on, no lights no response of any kind. I have tried multiple batteries (3 of them) and power adapters (also 3).
From my googling around it could be a bad keyboard or a bad system board but I really do not know.

Just a shot but you could pull you battery out of the one that won’t boot up & leave it unplugged. Press the power button for like 15 seconds. I had to do that to my laptop, granted it was an HP but worth a shot.

For the first one, if it happens only when the GPU is being stressed, then yeah, it’s probably a GPU or heat issue.
The second one may just have a loose keyboard ribbon connector. Super easy to take apart and look.

I have checked the fan and it seems OK, it seems to do the choping screen action regardless of the GPU load. It has done this during startup or at a random point during operation of the computer.

I have checked the ribbon connector, sadly not that simple of a problem :frowning:.

I’ve seen this exact artifact on my desktop. Happened while I was using solidworks as well. After updating my graphics card drivers for Windows 10 I haven’t seen it return. It’s been month’s since I’ve seen the issue so I consider it resolved.
