There’s probably cheaper places, but for convenience and likely have it, (I’ve bought that gauge there) you can get 6x12"(?) hunks in the model train section at hobby lobby. And they have those 40% off coupons (you can just show them on your phone from the website or they have them in their phone app)

I didn’t know hobby lobby had heavy sheet. Well then, that might make life much simpler.
