Live Coding and Sonic Pi

Dusted off my old raspberry pi and discovered a program preloaded onto it called Sonic Pi. I went down a rabbit hole.

In this video Sam Aaron gives a great description of live coding and the software he’s created at Cambridge. What’s cool to me is that from his website sonic-pi.net there’s a link to http://www.sonicpiliveandcoding.com/ which includes lesson outlines for students.

I’m teaching myself because I love electronic music and while I’ve never been handy with any musical instrument I sure can use a keyboard. Anybody else wanna play around with this?

I love this kind of stuff, though I’ve found this is quite a niche topic its very cool none the lease. And honestly I’d love to attend a class if the space had one.
