It doesn’t say anything about emails, but we are required to have a list of voting members and their addresses at every meeting. This may only include the yearly member meeting.
I think they had CSV files last year available with Names and Mailing Addresses of voting members.
Apparently, there has to be three things on it.
the members who are entitled to notice and the members who are not entitled to notice of the meeting;
the address of each voting member; and
the number of votes each voting member is entitled to cast at the meeting.
Not later than the second business day after the date notice is given of a meeting for which a list was prepared in accordance with Subsection (a), and continuing through the meeting, the list of voting members must be available at the corporation’s principal office or at a reasonable place in the municipality in which the meeting will be held, as identified in the notice of the meeting, for inspection by members entitled to vote at the meeting for the purpose of communication with other members concerning the meeting.
I believe a number of people use their work address or they use address services like traveling mailbox when they are really concerned about this. You just have to be sure that it doesn’t interfere with your billing address for your membership dues.
There was no malice in what Walter said. It just took effort for many people to understand what he said. Not enough people would make the effort to understand what he said.
Do you know where the voting list will be? Last year a CSV file was available. The location has to be given in the notice and available within 2 business days of the notice being sent. (4/23/2020)
However, for some reason Erik is allowing voters to be added to the list after the list has been generated. (5/1/2020).
