Letterhead for Maker Space

Good Morning,

Is there a Microsoft Word template for official Dallas Makerspace letterhead? My employer is making a donation of equipment to the metal shop and they are asking for an acknowledgement of the donation on letterhead.

If there is not one already, I will be happy to design one.

If the metal shop is already aware and has approved the donation then I believe it is the responsibility of the department chair to procure that letter. paging @hon1nbo

@Team_Finance I have it but handing it off to finance in case it changed.

So you need to talk with me before any donations; if I find anything left in the shop without accepting it then it’s liable for the dumpster.

You can send me a PM or email the committee via [email protected]

Additionally, for any donations accepted by a committee a receipt is provided by the chair; donation receipts may not be filled out by the donors or other members.

When it’s all ready to be officially accepted this is the form that the Chair fills out

Some side notes

  1. DMS does not set a value on the donation. That stays between the donor and IRS
  2. Donor is responsible for any paperwork needed by the IRS.
  3. Donor should document / take picts of donation.
  4. Anyone can fill out the form - however the Committee Chair must sign
