Leather Sewing and quilting machine

FYI-I was looking on Craigslist and found ads for a leather sewing machine and quilting machine.

The “longarm listing is just a frame, and not a good one at that. The machines that fit this type of frame are just larger home machines sitting on a deck that can slide on an x/y axis. Which is okay, but really limits the actual sewing area. Usually something like only 4-6 inches top to bottom combined with width of quilt. So stitch design options are severely limited.

As far as leather machine goes, that would consume a lot of floor space. I suspect that if she could get an industrial machine, Serena would prefer a more conventional industrial. We should, however, get serious about designing/building a fit around table for Thor. I would certainly feel better about sewing stuff if I had more space for guiding the leather through without fear of finger-piercing.
