I took the lathe training before it was called Colchester lathe, so my AD group permission is “Machine Shop Manual Lathe”.
Now, of course, any classes require Intro to Clausing Colchester Lathe. Should I retake a Colchester class in order to get the correct AD group? Not opposed to doing that, just want to know.
Seems like an unintended consequence. I think the calendar has the Colchester as a pre-req but since that ad no longer exists it won’t allow signups. That’s my guess. No Chris, you don’t need to retake it.
Can you give me an example class?

Hopefully someone got rid of the old colchester and shark ads and just updated the new AD with all the old users
Also someone should take everyone on the Bridgeport ad and add them to the cold saws. Also why is the Bridgeport AD branded? Like why can’t we just have a manual mill ad?
Are you suggesting that the calendar software should have “Machine Shop Manual Lathe” as the pre-req choice instead of an option for Colchester?

The old ADs are long gone. I’d requested the calendar update and was told it was done. Something must have regressed.

seems to work now. The obsolete AD groups should get dropped from the selection list. How do we do that?
We cannot without potentially breaking things. Usually the best thing to do is to set the name of the group to start with DO NOT USE

As Josh noted, we don’t want to delete them if we can avoid it but renaming is easy.
Need a list of obsolete machine shop groups to do so with.
