Lathe Classes for tool donations (wood lathe)

How many members would be interested in taking a lathing class for one of the topics below in return for donating a tool or supply for the turning program?

Possible Ideas -
Bowl Turning Classes
Spindle Turning - Make a letter opener or pressure point palm massage tool
Use of specific tools - Scrapers, Spindle Gouges, Skew Chisels, Bedan Parting tool, etc.
Hollow form - How to hollow a small form

In return I’d ask that you purchase a specific needed tool for donation to the turning SIG. I’m thinking something on the order of $20-$30 tools like the PSI/Benjamin’s Best line.

I’m interested in all of those, but I’d like to start with bowl turning. How about we pay in cash and you get what you need?

Rockler is interested in working with us, so let’s brainstorm with the committee for what we want to offer and what we need, and what the rules are so that we stay compliant with our 503© structure.

The committee approved purchase of a replacement lathe for the one that keeps breaking down, and we want to talk to Rockler about it.
