I’m interested in the creating small bowl on the wood lathes class but haven’t seen any opportunities for the prerequisite Woodshop Lathe Basics. Would anyone be willing to do some 1-on-1 training or know of an upcoming class I could attend?
I keep an eye out for that being available on the calendar and sign up. Is there any way I can make it into the bowl making class on the 2nd (since the system wants me to have the prerequisite before signing up)? If not it’s okay - I’ve seen a few of the bowl-making classes and will just watch for the next one.
Hi Adam - Completely possible. There is also a class scheduled for the 5th with an opening. If you haven’t turned previously (or recently) it might be worth having a few turning sessions under your belt prior to the bowl class. Most folks find that even 30- 40 minutes of practice after the basics class helps quite a bit with tool control and familiarity that make it more fun. Hope to see you there!
