Hello!
My name is Kellan. I’m a big fan of makerspaces and have been a member at several around the country as I’ve been traveling the past 3 years. A friend of mine at Lacey Makerspace in Olympia WA spoke highly of y’all and said I should check y’all out on my way back to Austin. Unfortunately this afternoon would be the only time I could come take a tour.
I know it’s a long shot since it’s so late notice, but would there be anyone there around 3:00 or 4:00pm today (Nov 11) who could give me a quick tour? I’d love to just see your space and ask a few questions about classes, volunteer organization, and how y’all started.
Hi Kellen, people are almost always at the space, so when you arrive just ring the doorbell and someone will let you in. People are typically willing to take some time to show folks around. I will be there myself around that time and can look for a post that says you’re here….ill likely be where I can’t hear the doorbell.

Excellent, thanks Doug! I’ll post again on this thread when I get there.
Hi Doug, my name is Tom LoFrisco, and I love the concept of Makersspace. I am interested in making doors, windows and a couple other wood-based items for a (future) cabin. Happen to know if the wood-shop has required tools and space? If uncertain, I will try to drop in to check out the space.
Hi Tom, come anytime to see not just what’s in the Woodshop, but also what else we have in the other dozen-&-a-half committees we have here. Anyone can show you around, it doesn’t have to be me—I’m just a participating member who uses the Woodshop regularly.

I just pulled up. If I’m not at the door when you see this, then someone else probably let me in. Either way, thanks for your help!
