The Lasersaur is out of commission until further notice. The motherboard is being swapped with a newer design which will come with newer software. Raster support is one of the new features and all of the processing will happen on the desktop computer instead of an onboard computer.

It works but there are some things left to do and some things to figure out as we go.
- Motherboard needs some kind of mounting plate so it doesn’t move around in the chassis
- Logic level emergency stop switch needs replacing with high current switch
- AC input wiring changes to accommodate new emergency stop switch
- Curriculum needs updating to reflect the new software
I’m waiting for the new emergency stop switch before putting it back into service. Right now it doesn’t have an emergency stop switch of any kind.

This is a great upgrade, any idea when it will be back in service?
It should be back this weekend. The emergency stop switch is there and I bought some other cables today.
