Laser Committee Meeting - Pick a Day

New member? Prolific laser user? Want to learn how to fix problems? Want to show us how to do something better? Interested in highly coherent beams of light?

If you answered no to all of those questions, look no further! Something’s clearly wrong with you.

Otherwise, help pick a day for the next few laser committee meetings. We’ve been on a run of Sundays for a while, but I don’t want to exclude anyone. So if there’s a day that’ll get more people involved now’s the time to change it up.

Typically meetings are done as a two part-er, a meeting session where we’ll handle committee business like approving new purchases, changing the rules, talking about what we can improve or pointing out new toys we think would be useful. After that we’ll head out to the laser area and do the monthly maintenance, cleaning optics, vacuuming/wiping down machines, checking alignments, evicting any lingering software gremlins, making any upgrades, etc. If you want to learn how to fix the machines when they break, this is a good time to show up.

As always, all are welcome. No need to know anything about lasers or have experience, and no need to be knighted to be part of the committee, just show up and we’ll put you to work!

*The poll is set to close just before midnight on the 31st, I’m planning to have the meeting the week of the next board meeting (11/17). Edit: Looks like it’ll be pushed to the 23rd.
