Laser alternative at home?

Anyone been exploring and/or using alternative methods while DMS is closed and the lasers are unavailable?

I’m pretty close to just buying a cheap Thunder and a reasonable CNC router.

Which models are you looking at?

A curious hole in the market from my own research is something that can handle a quarter sheet of material (24x48).

If I bought a Thunder it would probably be a Nova 51. I want it to be able to hold 48” wide material.

On the router, I’m leaning toward one designed by a guy named Brian Oltrogge. He calls it the Platform CNC.

We use a 51 at PolyPrinter, as a single user laser it’s got WAY more uptime than the ones with community use.

That’s like “community spread”, but with destruction instead of plague…
