The printer is up and has now been refilled with ink. I also preformed my first ever waste-tank reset and am happy to report that it went well.
The waste tank isn’t something that anyone should have to deal with very often - if at all. That being said, if it comes up - proceed with caution. OEM waste tanks have lots of padding in them to soak up ink and keep it from splashing around. Our tank has been retrofitted with a few paper towels and will be more prone to splashing and mess-making if people aren’t careful. Again, this is not a part of the printer that anyone should need to mess with.
