Sometimes I’d like to slice my models and get a feel for the NC code generated by various settings. Would it be possible to have this software installed on the JUMP server so that we can get to it remotely and have the proper configuration files for our printers, etc?
You can download it from the polyprinter Web site with the same settings we use.
Yeh, but I keep getting errors when it runs its postprocessing step, even when I run it as administrator.
I’d kind of like this option as well so I can run slices and stuff from my work pc. I’d email the [email protected] or admin and let them know.
Kisslicer is not suitable for the JUMP server environment.
Each adjustment made for each file sliced, saves on the fly… As a result, it only takes one person’s “tweak” to mess up every slice after that…
I have a script on the 3D Fab PCs that copy the original config files each time Kisslicer is opened - which is one of the reasons we suggest you close Kisslicer and open a new instance each time you sit down to slice.
This is a workaround to help ensure that members can be reasonably sure the main settings are correct. “Workarounds” are not something I would want to try to keep up with on the JUMP server.
I would encourage anyone who wants to slice from home, to download the files directly from PolyPrinter:

Thanks!
