Does anyone know of locations near DMS that sells kerosene by the gallon other than the big-box pre-packaged scenario ($$$)?
Google says Ricochet Fuel Distributors in Euless. Looks like lots of places sell 5 gallon containers of it too.
My hardware store in Lake Dallas sells it by the gallon. Or did the last time I checked. Absolutely great people as well.

I’ll add that its a pump, so you will need to bring your own container.
Virtually any hardware store sells gallon size containers of kerosene near the paint thinner
I second this, best hardware store around.
Oh that’s great to know.
The gallon, 2.5 gallon and 5 gallon options are rather expensive compared to bulk. That’s why my original query specified “other than the big-box pre-packaged scenario ($$$)?”
I’m questioning google accuracy on this one; it claims my local gas station sells it at the pump (incorrect). I think it may be too obscure or nuanced for google to parse properly.
Okay I called Lake Dallas Hardware and they don’t sell it at a pump anymore.
Kelsoe Oil on Bell Avenue in Denton sells it at the pump. $3.55/gal right now.
Well damn… That sucks.
As a price check (courtesy of Google):
- Home Depot charges $10.49/gallon of kerosene.
- Walmart is a bit cheaper @ $8.86/gallon
Keep in mind that if you drive 10 minutes out of your way to save a dollar, you’re working for less than minimum wage.
True enough, though 5 gallons (what I buy) for a $35 savings is well worth the 10 minutes, IMO.
I third it!!
