So I’m putting together a Soup, based off Detroit Soup. It’s a micofinancing concept that’s near and dear to my heart. @Lampy was quick minded enough to put together a proposal and he was picked to present. If you want to support him please come. I’m hoping to have 40 people come this awarding the winner $400 to fund the concept at the end of the night.
Rules are simple Pay $10 at the door and bring something for the potluck. You’ll be hearing four ideas. Four minutes each with them answering four questions. At the end of the night everyone gets one vote on who they want to support. Winner takes all the funds to support the idea.
On the 12th we will be hearing from people who want to begin/fund/support:
Blessings bags for Lewisville residents
Aquaponic educational garden for veterans
Wicked science supplies for demonstrations at Lewisville schools
And a high school group with a online news startup

I did a gofundme to get this dinner going (which was funded by the kindness of @lampy and @jottwell) with it I’m buying the supplies and small things to make the dinner a success.
I hope to see a few makers in the crowd. I hope to bring this concept to DMS. I’m doing this 4 times for Lewisville before I need to be independent enough to have a space of my own.
