I’m trying to combine our new Rostock 3D printer, KISSlicer, and PET-G. In an attempt to determine which of the plethora of settings are relevant I have been…
- Slicing then saving the G-code
- Making a small adjustment, re-slicing, then saving the G-code with a different filename
- Comparing the two files
Seemed like a good plan. A little change. See if the files are different and, if they are, how they are different.
Until I realized that KISSlicer produces radically different G-code with no setting changes! Why? Why on earth would the same settings produce different G-code? Is the path initialized by a roll of the dice? Ugh.
