Hello, I am looking for some classes at night for learn how to use the photography studio, Printer, Sublimation, anything relative to creative Arts. Anybody is interesting in do some clases or participate on it ?
Thank you.
Photography studio is going to be @Team_Digital_Media.
Which printer do you mean? To my knowledge CA doesn’t have a printer other than the wide format printer, which is not currently usable.
Dye Sublimation is typically taught by @CaryF300.
Thank you, I mean the one is located next to the sublimation machine. Sorry, I don’t know how this calls. I think they work vinyl or something like that. I just knew about it today in the introduction class. but I forgot their name.
In the room with Dye Sublimation is vinyl cutting and the silhouette cameo. There is a printer that goes with the Dye Sublimation equipment, but it is only for use with dye sublimation as it is loaded with special ink for that.
Its a little ways away, but the Creative Arts commitee meeting is probably the best way to meet people in the committee who can help you learn the equipment. The next meeting is July 12th, and all members who want to be involved in the committee are welcome.
Thank you for all the information
vinyl is off the table for now, logistics is overwhelmed with other projects. maybe mid july, unless the creative arts team can take off their plate.
also, specifically how late were you thinking? the building is 24 hours and i routinetly stay til 7 am, for perspective. when you say “at night” I’m thinking okay see you at 3 am.
Oh ok. Thank you for let me know. Regarding the time. Sorry, I mean around 6:30 or 7:00pm. In the Evening.
also as a followup. I believe a couple people have stepped up to offer inkscape classes, which is a free software that most of the cutting / printing / design machines use to translate line / motion data. (ie laser cutter, vinyl cuter etc)
I’ll probably throw up an inkscape class or two on the calendar myself just to get new people acquainted faster, it really is foundational to most all projects imho.
alternately, you can look up on youtube. because it is FREE software it is very easy to get started yourself, especially if you’re basing the image off something else you can learn the conversion methods (really really easy)
