Glaze unloaded
There was a low fired item in the kiln that melted. Another members pieces were affected.
- That was mine, and am terribly sorry!
- Am happy to provide financial compensation to those affected for your lost time and effort. You deserve some kind of restitution, so please text me at (801) 448-3500
- Am happy to clean or replace the kiln shelf, just let me know
- I was using slip from Trinity Ceramic and was told it was Cone 6, but it just comes in a bucket with no labels - anyone know a way to be sure for the future?
Trinity should know better, first off. I’d be talking to them about that, if I were you. I mean, if Conor sold it to you, and you’d mentioned DMS, then something is messed up in the back storage. If it were someone else, they still made a mistake (they sell both low-fire slip and Cone 6 slip), and it’s probably the back that’s messed up.
Yeah, they were very kind and we talked about DMS and cone 6, so I’m sure it just didn’t get passed back. I’ll fire a small trial piece from my next bucket to triple check.
They really, really need to know that their supply isn’t what they think it is.
I’ll definitely share the experience with them in case there are process improvements that can be made. Even just a sticker or something so everyone in the process sees what’s being asked for/provided/used.
I’m so sorry my pot tipped over I’m willing to pay for any damages! Please let me know what I can do
Just sent a separate message. Dont worry about paying anything, I’m just trying to see if the pots can be separated without breaking.
Someone got them separated, thanks.
Thanks for being understanding and I’m sorry about your pot
Bisque unloaded,
Take your receipt and the pucture to Connor or Kim. Looks like they pulled 06 in error, or mixed wrong. I always have them write on the bucket before they give it to me.
Bisque unloaded, shelves are absolutely packed! 1222 is getting fixed today, running a test fire today, should be back up and running Sunday/Monday!
Could they have said cone 06? It is not the same as cone 6.
