John Fabrycki - Woodshop Basics, May 21

Hi John, I am registering myself and husband for your Woodshop Basics on May 21, but I wanted to know if we could have our kids with us (age 11 and 13) as we would like them to know how to use the machines. We will always be with them and supervising them, but would prefer them to take the class as well. Please let me know if that is an option.

Thank you,
Sanci

I’ll butt in and respond for speed’s sake:

The class indicates an age requirement:

Because the Woodshop has an age policy:

https://dallasmakerspace.org/wiki/Category:Wood_Shop#Age_Requirements

That noted, if class isn’t full, @j801496 may allow minor observers if in presence of parents/guardians, as you’ve indicated will be the case.

Also, to quickly get someone’s attention, like I did with John just above, “@” them with their user name, à la @sanci.hall

Sanci,

Your kids are welcome to come observe but I can not allow them to use the power tools.

Sincerely
John Fabrycki
