Job opening—near DMS, jewelry making

The place I work at that makes costume jewelry for their wholesale accounts has an opening. It’s for applying rhinestones to their components. It’s ideal for someone wanting weekday part-time work (20-32 hrs, depending on the schedule you need, flexible).

You’d need good attention to detail, good dexterity, and ok with somewhat repetitious work (the components/patterns vary considerably, but it’s still similar production work). Sometimes folks eventually float between rhinestone and assembly as needed. (I do assembly.) There’s sometimes opportunity to pick up extra hours on saturdays (not mandatory) or take home piece-work.

It’s a very nice group of folks to work with. I’ve been there a couple months and like it a lot. They’re looking to hire someone soon. Btw, this place is literally five minutes from DMS.

We are a wholesale jewelry company looking for people to do rhinestone placement and/or assemble jewelry. Training is provided, no jewelry experience necessary; manufacturing or piecework experience preferred.
In order to be part of our team it will be necessary to arrive as scheduled ready to work and learn new tasks. It is preferable that you live within a short distance of Farmers Branch. We have a flexible 5-day a week schedule, 20-32 hours per week, enabling us to work around school schedules.

  • attention to fine detail is a must.
  • inventory experience is a plus.
  • must have a willingness to work with others, take direction and have a positive attitude.

  • must be able to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    *Sitting or standing for 100% of scheduled shifts
    *Bending, stooping, kneeling and squatting occasionally throughout scheduled shifts
    *Required to lift, move and carry up to 30 pounds
    *Climb ladders, kneel, reach, grab and crouch
    *Ability to use a ladder and/or step stool occasionally
    *Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation
