Agreed. Salary or hourly? Benefits? Hours? A lot of us in the machine shop at DMS who aren’t retired, and who might be a good fit currently have jobs as skilled engineers and are salaried professionals. If you are looking for unskilled tool and die machinists who don’t currently have their own businesses, I would train someone at DMS who currently works hourly as a welder. We have some younger folks in the Metal shop committee who weld professionally and might be a really good fit.
