Jet edge sander

@Team_Woodshop attempting to replace the belt on the sander and it wants to climb up and is rubbing on the guard. Arrows are going in the right direction and Ive tried aligning it several ways on the cylinders. Any suggestions? I’ll be up here for a bit.

I don’t have the model number so can’t look it up, but there should be a knob or bolt that adjusts belt tracking.

Not sure what you mean by aligning it several ways on the cylinders? You have tried the tracking adjustment, right? Should be a knob near one of the cylinders that adjusts the position of one side of the axle. It allows you to get both cylinders perfectly parallel to one another, which is the only way the belt tracks correctly.

If it’s really far off, instead of turning on the machine and ruining the edge of a belt, I usually move the belt by hand and adjust until I don’t see it moving, then turn the machine on and do the final adjustments.

just tossing this in here for future onlookers
