Java 11 and The Great Make

I recently crossed paths with an unpleasant TSL bug in Java 11. The bug has been fixed in the source code but binaries have not yet been released. Which left two choices: 1. Wait; 2. Build from source. I opted for #2. The process has gone well (built on Raspbian for a Pi and on Windows 7).

Who else has needed / wanted to build a JDK?

Considering I use to have my own linux distro that was built from source; lets just say that was one of our more common builds, that and the adobe flash player.
