Is this low-cost oscilloscope kit worth it?

Hackaday had a recent review of a DIY Oscillocscope kit. The review was positive: what are your thoughts (if any) on this as to suitability as a first oscilloscope for home (when not at DMS) use?

The kit sells for < $21 on BangGood and has an aggregate 4.9 Stars on > 1,000 reviews.

IMO, no. The primary reason to use an oscilloscope is to make measurements. None of these inexpensive things are capable of accurate measurement, even within their limited bandwidth.

You are much better off with an old used analog scope for not much more money.

I really like the USB based Hantek 6022 for $$60 or so. Hard to beat.
