Tried scanning to email and it said it’s not hooked up. I’m talking about the main printer/copier in the computer room. Just trying to scan a couple personal things to my email. If there is a way to do it please point me in the direction of the instructions or walk me through it
I think you’ve got to have a jump drive to scan to.
Have you tried reading the user manual? You should be able to find it online (or maybe on the wiki?), once you know the manufacturer and model number of our printer. If you need administrative permissions to access default locations in our computer systems, you should contact @yashsedai. Maybe you could learn how to scan it directly to your thumb drive inserted in the printer and then teach the rest of us how to do that.
When I’ve had this kind of need, I’ve scanned the document to a PDF file and then sent it as an attachment to an email. Sometimes, if all you need to do is transmit information, I’ve photographed the document and sent those photos by email.
It appears that for some reason email was not configured. It is now configured and you should be able to use it next time.
Thanks
Freddy
Thank you for doing this.
