I am about to head down and was wondering if the lasersaur was working.
We used it yesterday. If you stay within 2 feet of home position you will be fine, otherwise it needs an alignment.
FYI, it chiller was out of water. It’s filled now but keep an eye on the temp. I think Pearce said they were set to 23 C.
It stayed in alignment for a year. Either something has worked loose or someone is “fixing” it on their own.
The beam was still pin sharp in focus just the power seemed to trail off the further left you were from home. For what it was worth we were engraving cardboard and were using power levels in the 30% range at 1000mm/sec.
