Last night I came to do some work on the CNC Multicam and found out the pendant was being repaired and would hopefully be back up last night. I wanted to make sure it is back up and running before I head back up there tonight.
Thanks!
I came in this am to use it as well, and as of 10am, it is not available. Timeframe anyone? Do we have a system in place where we announce in the Forum when the equipment is down? Some of us travel great distances to come into DMS. I would like to avoid a wasted trip as much as possible. Thanks

Would be where that information would normally be updated. I see that nothing has been updated on the Multicam since October though. It appears anyone can update it, so anyone who finds a tool inoperable should at least check the status there and update the status to reflect reality.
@Team_Woodshop Do we know if this is still something that can be fixed fairly quickly internally or will the machine be down for an extended time period? I do see the gantry has moved from last night, but that doesn’t mean much.
Sorry for the inconvenience Ryan. @fedakkee has the pendant and we are trying to look into the issue. Well let you know as soon as it’s back.
It’s no problem. Tools break and having the opportunity to use such an amazing/expensive tool for my low membership cost should lead to complete understanding that sometimes things need to be fixed and aren’t available. I just wanted to check on the status before heading back up there tonight. Thanks for the quick update.
Thanks for being understanding. Hopefully it’ll be back up and running soon!
Yes it’s repaired. It’s on my shelf. It needs to be screwed together.
I’ll be in shortly to put it back together.
I fixed it last night but I need to put it back together. The case was bent and the circuit board would not fit back in. I’ll be in today shortly to finish up today.
THANKS KEE! I may try to swing by later today as well
I’m planning to come in tonight - I have a repaired spare controller.
We need to 3d print a “G-Shock” case for that thing out of Ninjaflex…
Thank you @fedakkee
I don’t know what the woodshop would do without you! I look forward to taking your Fusion360 classes sometime in the future.
Looks like I’ll be up at DMS tonight afterall!
It’s officially back up. Please, if you drop the pendant let us know. You’re not a bad person, it happens. Then we can fix it fast rather than finding information out about it later. Also…Please don’t crank the collet so tight that I have to use an acetylene torch to remove the end mill. Thank-you.
Thanks! I’m on my way now.
